From Rome to Vegas: The 38th Annual Pizza Expo

The International Pizza Expo: a one-of-a-kind trade show where thousands of industry professionals gather in the heart of Vegas to share their passion for pizza. This year’s 38th annual expo was held from March 22-24, where food lovers from across the globe explored the Las Vegas Convention Center in search of world-class Italian cuisine.

True to our mission of bringing people together through great food, Pinsa Romana America was in fine form at the expo! And thanks to our partnership with Sysco, we had the opportunity to share a taste of Rome with more people than ever before!

While baking, topping, and serving approximately 100 pinsas per day, we introduced our artisanal par-baked crust to pizza experts near and far! Distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs stopped in their tracks, enticed by our display. This led to our favorite part of the whole weekend: watching the “wow” factor on people’s faces. One bite of our light, airy pinsa crust, and their eyes lit up with delight!

The success of this year’s Pizza Expo exceeded our expectations. After three days of sharing good food with good people, we could not have asked for a better turnout. Our hearts are filled with joy!

Everybody Wants a Piece of Pinsa!

Pinsa is a special dish. The crust is a centuries-old recipe, reimagined to enchant modern palates. Pinsa Romana America was blessed with the responsibility of sharing this Roman recipe with the United States. And once people take a bite of the crisp-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside crust, there’s no turning back to traditional pizza crust.

Our pinsa crusts prove that pizza can be nutritious and low-calorie without skimping on flavor. Each crust is made with a revolutionary blend of non-GMO wheat, rice, soy, and sourdough flours, up to 80% hydration for easy digestion, and no added sugars or saturated fats. It is then fermented for 48-72 hours before getting hand-pressed to release gases. The result? A cloud-like crust that can be indulged without bloating or discomfort. It’s light, gluten-friendly, and guilt-free: the upgrade of all pizza lovers’ dreams.

Our par-baked beauties have the perfect flavor profile to compliment every pizza topping—not overpowering, but exquisitely simple. The top-abilities are endless! That’s why they were such a huge hit at the Pizza Expo. In fact, three other vendors bought our pinsa crusts to use at their booth. One vendor wanted to showcase their dairy-free cheese atop a vegan-friendly crust. Pinsa was the perfect addition to elevate their display!

After getting the opportunity to share the ins and outs of all things pinsa at the 38th Annual International Pizza Expo, the Pinsa Romana America family is full of gratitude. So much so that we already have a spot reserved for next year’s expo. We hope to see you there!
